Under the supervision of the Manager of Access Services, this position supports the Course Reserves and A/V Equipment Reserves operation of the library by assisting in processing materials for students, faculty, and staff. This position supervises the Access Services Information Desk of the UNF Library. Staffing the Access Services Information Desk may include responsibility for the supervision of the library facility. Provides customer service based on University, Library, and departmental policies and procedures, library systems and their use, and library collections. Access to and maintenance of confidential student/employment records is required. Troubleshoots procedural and system-related problems on behalf of library users. Responsible for monitoring the library’s security system and other security and safety matters involving the library building, collections, computers as well as operational concerns and closing the facility as scheduled. Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to implement current department and Library-related policies and procedures. Provides public service and access with respect to library materials and information in a courteous, positive, and proactive manner. Regularly interacts and must communicate with UNF faculty, staff and student users.
