San José Public Library (SJPL) is recruiting a Senior Librarian to join the Library's Public Engagement Division as the Web Services Manager. This position will help shape, maintain, and enhance the Library's digital presence and web-based platforms, including the Public Website, Library catalog and events calendar, Joint website with San José State University King Library, Sierra-Integrated Library System (ILS), SharePoint, SJPL Blog Team, and external digital library profiles and public-facing platforms. The Web Services Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all web-related matters and is responsible for the development, maintenance, and performance of the Library's web infrastructure. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting web issues, ensuring accessibility, and security compliance. This position will supervise a team of two full-time and one part-time staff members and will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, Library leadership, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality across platforms. In addition, the Web Services Manager will also actively participate in the City's Digital Privacy and Artificial Intelligence Working Groups, and uphold Library privacy and ethics standards.
