Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and bar membership.
- 10+ years of relevant experience (e.g., software licensing, cloud services, complex negotiations).
- Strong knowledge of privacy and data security compliance.
- Skilled in drafting and negotiating software license agreements.
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to different collaborators.
- Strategic problem solver with strong business instincts and a collaborative approach.
Nice To Haves
- Payments and regulatory experience are a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the legal lead for risk teams to address new and emerging regulatory risks, especially in highly regulated areas.
- Lead the review, drafting, and approval of procurement services agreements, especially in the technology category, including SaaS, payment processor, and strategic partnership agreements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, procurement, marketing, engineering, business units) to support revenue transactions and address legal and policy issues.
