About The Position

CAPTRUST is seeking a full-time Senior Lease Administration Associate to join our Corporate Real Estate and Facilities team. The Senior Lease Administration Associate uses specialized knowledge and skills, obtained through experience and formal training to assist the team and firm to optimize and manage a growing corporate real estate lease portfolio. The candidate also recommends solutions to problems, working extensively with internal business partners at various levels. Primary responsibilities may include the following, amongst others:

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a corporate real estate or commercial real estate role
  • Completion of a four-year college degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to read and interpret real estate documents
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and interface with all levels of management
  • High attention to detail with strong planning and organizational capability
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, tight deadlines and challenging situations
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative and energy

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PDF Editor
  • Ability to navigate spreadsheets

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Landlords and Building Managers of CAPTRUST leased spaces
  • Partner with third-party brokers, local and regional stakeholders, Legal, Finance/Accounting throughout lease life cycles
  • Conduct thorough lease analysis to answer internal lease related questions and identify opportunities and risks throughout lease terms
  • Interpret leases and related real estate documents, providing guidance to internal teams to ensure compliance and protect company assets
  • Manage compliance for leases, terminations, subleases, license agreements, estoppels
  • Track and manage all critical dates and deadlines; maintain lease administration tool and engage stakeholders to ensure timely execution
  • Partner with Finance/Accounting to ensure monthly rent schedule is accurate
  • Review and approve annual operating expense estimates, ensuring reconciliations are accurate
  • Oversee insurance compliance for properties and vendors
  • Performs other duties and special projects as required, including firm-wide initiatives
