About The Position

The Senior Facilitator/Consultant (Per Diem) delivers engaging learning experiences—both in person and virtually—that strengthen the professional and leadership capabilities of Montefiore employees from the frontline to the executive level. A skilled practitioner in leadership and organizational development, this individual creates psychologically safe environments where trust is built quickly, participation is encouraged, and diverse perspectives are valued. Through expert facilitation, they set clear engagement agreements, model inclusive practices, and address unhelpful behaviors in ways that support respect, collaboration, and growth. With deep expertise in leadership development, the Senior Facilitator/Consultant surfaces group dynamics, challenges assumptions with supportive inquiry, and connects participant insights to relevant frameworks and organizational priorities. Believing that the wisdom and solutions lie within the group, they guide leaders and teams toward constructive dialogue, meaningful reflection, and practical application—enabling improved collaboration, stronger leadership effectiveness, and outcomes aligned with Montefiore’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Education, Organizational Psychology or related field required; Master's preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience facilitating group dynamics in complex, high stakes, or ad hoc situations.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with proven ability to inspire and influence others.
  • Demonstrated expertise in facilitating team development exercises.
  • Formal training and experience in group dynamics.
  • Proven ability to engage participants in interactive workshops using digital platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of leadership and organizational development theories.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong cultural competence and ability to foster equity and inclusion.

  • Experience with personality, leadership, and team effectiveness assessments.
  • Understanding of evaluation methods to measure learning impact.
