About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Senior Learning Design Professional uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Learning Design Professional is responsible for analyzing learning needs, collaborating with subject matter experts, and developing instructional materials that support both new hires and current associates. Key duties include designing and developing course content, storyboards, scripts, manuals, and performance support materials. The role applies instructional design best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences using various delivery methods (instructor-led, e-learning, virtual, blended, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Communication, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing curriculum content, eLearning programs and virtual learning solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Articulate Storyline/Rise, Photoshop, Audition, and/or Camtasia
  • Prior experience working in a consumer centric company supporting the learning function or related function
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong knowledge of eLearning standards and Adult Learning Theory
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Flexibility navigating change in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Learning and Performance; Education; Human Resources, Organizational Design or Related field.
  • Work experience in a health care and/or Insurance setting
  • Proficient project management skills
  • 5+ years in contact center learning and development for Fortune top 100 organization
  • Experience developing and managing courses in an LMS

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and organize course content, ensuring materials are current and relevant.
  • Uses consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine applicable learning solution.
  • Design and develop targeted learning solutions based on audience needs.
  • Select and sequence appropriate learning activities and media to achieve objectives.
  • Validate and incorporate input from subject matter experts and operational partners.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions using performance data and business metrics.
  • Prepare facilitator resources and/or lead train-the-trainer sessions for successful implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support to trainers and subject matter experts.
  • Communicate timelines and progress to stakeholders.
  • Address curriculum and content feedback to continuously improve training programs.
