About The Position

As a Senior Analyst on the Lean Portfolio Team, your main focus is on analytics support at the Agile Release Train level as well as support of the products in the ART. You will be seen as a thought leader and strategic thinker within the lean portfolio management practice. You will serve as a coach and mentor to the team to advance analytic thinking, mature skillsets to enhance lean portfolio capabilities which demonstrate tangible value to the organization. As a Senior Lean Portfolio Analyst you will leverage statistical methods and predictive modeling to enable strategic investment governance and economic decision making. In addition, you will define and implement decision tools and routines to ensure data quality and validate data fitness for enterprise consumption. Lastly, you will partner with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to enable lean budgeting and ensure value realization maturity is advanced within enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role leveraging data and information to provide meaningful insights to others.
  • Proficient with ingesting, profiling, normalizing and interpreting large amounts of data from multiple sources, creating consumable outputs with summaries of key findings and recommended actions.
  • Exceptional ability to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies within data.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods or predictive analytics to forecast trends or outcomes.
  • Ability to interpret financial, capacity and execution data to make investment recommendations to portfolio leaders, product management, product teams, and agile leaders.
  • Ability to assess operational risk and return on investment to support continuous value delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a way that is understandable to various audiences.
  • Ability to interpret a stakeholder's request and clearly articulate a recommendation.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise operations helping leaders across the organization connect data to the enterprise picture.
  • Able to craft a compelling story from data to influence decision-making.
  • Act as change champion to positively represent the change to those who will be impacted.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and interpret analytic questions and requests directed to the Lean Portfolio Management team; coordinates collaboration and generate results that meet stakeholder expectation(s).
  • Ability to meet stakeholders where they are, demonstrating empathy with their acceptance of change, providing critical support through their change journey.
  • Strong ability to quickly identify key stakeholders and build trust-based relationships.
  • Ability to consistently set, manage, and realign stakeholder expectations.
  • Able to articulate the "what's in it for me" story to help stakeholders and the LPM team improve data hygiene.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Naturally curious and thrives in ambiguous situations by identifying situational context to resolve problems at hand.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership in portfolio and product operating budget allocation, investment showback and forecasting.
  • Create budget and investment recommendations to ensure enterprise and operational priorities are balanced and understood to inform economic trade-offs discussions.
  • Provide data and insights to Lean Portfolio Consultants and the Lean Portfolio Value Manager to improve the health and pace of investment delivery.
  • Monitor and govern capacity management and investment data quality to validate fitness for enterprise consumption. Coaches Portfolio Analysts on areas of improvement to ensure data accuracy.
  • Creates and analyzes reports to spot patterns and trends, making recommendations for improvement to Lean Portfolio Consultants and Lean Portfolio Value Manager.
  • Monitor and analyze capacity data to support early identification of issues that impede optimal capacity utilization and inhibit the flow of value. Recommend actions to optimize capacity and flow management to enable predictable delivery.
  • Coach and mentor Lean Portfolio Analysts to strengthen skillsets and advance analytic thinking within the team.
  • Regularly review key reporting suites and validate Lean Portfolio Analyst observations and recommendations. Ensure timely delivery of analyses and insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner with FP&A to ensure economic frameworks are established and monitored to enable data-driven trade-off decisions and optimal resource allocation across value streams and ARTs.
  • Maintains a clear focus on stakeholder needs while upholding Lean Portfolio Management principles, ensuring that solutions are both user-centric and value-driven. Balances empathy and strategic insight to deliver impactful outcomes across the Value Management Office.
