About The Position

The Department of Economic Security (DES) is looking for a Senior Lean Coach to join the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). This position is crucial in facilitating Lean transformation initiatives and managing high-priority projects that impact DDD members. The Senior Lean Coach will work closely with executive leadership to ensure continuous improvement activities and adherence to established standards. The role also involves serving as a subject matter expert in quality initiatives and providing actionable insights for managerial decision-making to enhance service delivery to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in developing strategic plans.
  • Certification in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, Lean or similar.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools and principles.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning processes.
  • Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and how to track and measure progress.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates Lean transformation initiatives and manages improvement planning and process flow.
  • Provides oversight and collaborates with executive leadership on activities and projects.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and leads research activities related to quality initiatives.
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement and provides actionable insights for managerial decision-making.
  • Collaborates with Division executives & managers to implement strategic plan management & performance management practices.
  • Analyzes & implements operational efficiency & effectiveness in all areas of the Division.
  • Implements the change management structure to support change activities across the Division.
