About The Position

Position Overview The Senior Leadership Advisor works directly with people leaders, facilitating skill intensives (workshops), providing mentorship and connecting managers to applicable tools and educational opportunities that align to business and personal development needs. This role exists to support manager effectiveness through Leadership Development program delivery, thereby helping SECU managers create an environment that empowers people to do their best work, embrace the best opportunities, and propel the success of SECU.

Requirements

  • Bachelors; Acceptable Fields of Study: Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Training, and/or Human Resources or related field. Additional four years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5-8 years Relevant Experience
  • 5-8 years of experience leading a team, and ability to demonstrate strong competency in teaching/facilitating leadership or soft/professional skills content.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to share knowledge and insight based on the needs of the audience in compelling spoken, written, or visual form.
  • Currently holds or is willing to obtain any necessary certifications to become an expert in our core focus areas (Center for Creative Leadership, LinkedIn Learning, and other applicable programs).
  • Well versed and curious in the realms of leadership/manager development, organizational health, adult learning, and human thriving.
  • Experience and confidence interacting with leaders of all levels.
  • Ability to execute, producing business results quickly and consistently, with little intervention.
  • Ability to succeed and establish partner relationships in a hybrid work environment.
  • Must live in or within manageable commuting distance to Raleigh, North Carolina with the ability to travel to various other training locations up to 40%.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional coaching certification preferred (or equivalent) with coaching core competencies.
  • Knowledge of adult learning instructional methods and training techniques.
  • Experience with Change Management concepts and practices.
  • Proficient with virtual training delivery platforms like MS Teams and Webex to deliver training classes.

Responsibilities

  • Confidently and expertly lead interactive leadership and professional/soft skills workshops, intensives, and cohorts both in-person and virtually, utilizing personal examples from your own leadership journey to help leaders feel supported in addressing challenges and developing their staff.
  • Form a trusted advisor type of relationship through interactions with leaders and serve as a mentor and accountability partner, empowering leaders to feel confident in prioritizing their leadership skill development and supporting the adoption of SECU’s focus on a strengths based management approach.
  • Cohort management including, but not limited to, component tracking and survey management, audience management and collaboration with internal/external partners.
  • Provide assistance with communications, registrations, curation, special events, etc., as a partner liaison between L&D and business leaders.
  • Interacting with CCL, LinkedIn Learning, and other Leadership Content providers to leverage resources and deliver best practices.
