About The Position

PAE is seeking a visionary and highly technical Senior Lead Technology Engineer for a fully remote opportunity to provide high-level project leadership and discipline management within our technology department. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex building projects, serving as a primary technical resource and mentor for the company. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure, including telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare systems, to deliver innovative, code-compliant solutions while providing guidance to junior engineers and fostering strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree for discipline work or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant professional Credential (i.e. PE, CTS, RCDD, PSP)
  • Requires a minimum of 2-4 years Technology Engineer Lead, or 5-10 years’ related work experience
  • Inspire and motivate staff
  • Serve as a technical resource for the company
  • Advanced understanding of technology design concepts and ability to effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
  • Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables
  • Strong delegation skills
  • Proactive and effective communicator
  • Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
  • Knowledge and application of NEC and relevant building and energy codes
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Revit/AutoCAD

Responsibilities

  • Project team leadership and discipline management, responsible for completing the project on time and within budget
  • Responsible for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
  • Independently evaluate and apply design judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
  • Extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure and ability to lead the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology system
  • Assemble effective project teams
  • Develop project workplans, tasks and assignments for the team
  • Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination
  • Advanced understanding of the application of building codes and technology industry standards
  • Oversee calculations and equipment selection
  • Prepare and review opinions of probable construction costs
  • Perform site visits and issues reports
  • Provide training, guidance and mentorship for staff
  • Provide updates to master specifications and standards, and improve company processes
  • Develop client relationships
  • Oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
