  • Work with business and engineering leaders to develop requirements from customer need statements for Commercial market applications across multiple hardware and software products.
  • Collaborate with business and engineering leaders to decompose and allocate requirements to the correct system elements across hardware and software domains.
  • Collaborate with the test teams to define and execute a comprehensive verification and validation plan for all levels of requirements.
  • Identify areas of reuse for consistent system behavior across multiple commercial system elements.
  • Work directly with multiple project managers and technical leaders to plan and communicate program status, resourcing issues, and schedule expectations throughout the program duration.
  • Serve as a key contact with physical product, software, and mobile application teams to deliver coordinated integrations that meet the overall solution schedule milestones.
  • Lead technical risk management, structured problem solving, solution verification and validation activities.
  • Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities with the team.
  • Leverage the failure mode analysis to create resilient systems with effective error handling and diagnostics.
  • Grow Systems Engineering best practices and systems thinking at Allegion through mentorship, training, and driving for common systems engineering processes throughout the Engineering organization.
  • Work closely with Software teams to coordinate between software and hardware deliverables.
  • Work in a highly collaborative, hybrid work environment.
  • BS or higher in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an ABET accredited university.
  • 10+ years work experience in new product development.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements management, technical risk management, program execution, software development (Agile and/or SAFe), and systems thinking.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Comfortable with the facilitation of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) events.
  • Exhibits a coaching and mentor mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity methods and protocols, cloud service architectures (AWS, Azure), or low-power wireless communications products (i.e. Bluetooth Low Energy).
