About The Position

The Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury Technology group has been created to build an enterprise analytics, tools, and data platform to help CIB Markets Trading and other businesses efficiently manage their capital, liquidity, and funding (P&L), and to facilitate efficient financial resource management. It supports the strategic agenda of our franchise through a coordinated approach to pricing and management of financial resources. As a Senior Lead of Software Engineering at JP Morgan Chase within CIB Treasury Technology function, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You serve in a engineering manager leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for technical software engineers, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. As an expert in your field, you will face off to internal clients and business stakeholders in CIB Treasury and be responsible for delivering towards strategic projects. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Proficient in coding in Java or Python
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
Exposure to cloud technologies.
Knowledge and interest in the financial industry.
Strong understanding of Treasury functions and concepts like balance sheet, liquidity, and regulatory capital is a plus.
Understanding of Data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
Be accountable for decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Participate in, design, and develop scalable and resilient systems using Python, SQL, React, AWS, and other technologies to contribute to continuous, iterative improvements for product teams.
Interface with internal clients for requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and partnering in the design and delivery of tools.
Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain software that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
Produce or contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
