As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, you will be at the forefront of driving a major transformation within the company. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about building and pioneering in the technology space, particularly in solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment. You will be part of a dynamic team known as the Enterprise Data Quality team, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that Capital One's data is fit for use. This team is responsible for developing data quality solutions for all datasets, whether data is in movement or at rest, to mitigate regulatory risks, reduce costs, and address operational issues. In this position, you will lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and manage a team of developers who possess deep expertise in distributed microservices and full stack systems. Your primary focus will be to create innovative solutions that meet the regulatory needs of the company. You will also have the opportunity to share your enthusiasm for technology trends, engage in experimentation with new technologies, and participate in both internal and external technology communities. Mentoring fellow engineers will be a key aspect of your role, and you may occasionally be called upon to code or evaluate code. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance the financial empowerment of millions of Americans. You will utilize a variety of programming languages and technologies, including JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, as well as open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases. Additionally, you will work with container orchestration services such as Docker and Kubernetes, and leverage a range of AWS tools and services to achieve your objectives.
