About The Position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Owner for Workday Payroll to join the Human Resources (HR) Transformation & Products Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with HR and business leaders across the organization to address complex challenges and develop effective solutions. The individual in this position will be responsible for the vision, roadmap, and delivery of the US Payroll product. A strong emphasis is placed on collaboration, requiring exceptional interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills. Success in this role hinges on the ability to function as a hands-on independent contributor while also leveraging leadership skills to build credibility and direct matrixed resources in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this capacity, the Senior Lead Product Owner will advise leadership on developing or influencing business plans and requirements, directing product design and implementation for intricate HR business and technical needs. The role involves overseeing product management and strategic focus for the most technical, complex, and diverse HR products and services. The individual will lead the strategy and resolution of unique challenges that necessitate a deep understanding of potential synergies and opportunities across the company. Additionally, the role requires delivering long-term, large-scale solutions that consider global market dynamics, trends, regulatory impacts, and risk management. The Senior Lead Product Owner will articulate the Payroll product vision, define scope, prioritize the backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating and upgrading technologies and vendor relationships. Managing processes and routines to ensure predictable value delivery from the product is essential, as is inspecting pre-release progress, recommending changes, and ensuring timelines are met. The individual will also develop and monitor the product roadmap and key performance indicators, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements. Engaging with leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery teams across the company is a critical aspect of this role, as is serving as an expert advisor to executives on complex, visible, and diverse solutions.
