Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company We are seeking an experienced Product Management leader to drive the strategy, development, and delivery of two of our strategic initiatives—building AI Agents for the AP product and modernization of the AP product, specifically for the Approvals and Payments Experience workflows. As the Senior Lead Product Manager, you will be at the center of BILL's transformation, a company that moves ~1% of US GDP. You will own the end-to-end "reimagination" of the Approvals and Payments Experience parts of the core Billpay workflow. Your mission is to rebuild these experiences from the ground up, transforming them into modern, "agent-native" workflows that automate manual tasks and are fast, user-friendly, and consistent. Approvals sit at the heart of how companies control cash flow and safeguard their operations. This process ensures the right individuals are involved in financial decisions and verifying money movement, enabling businesses to maintain visibility and control over spend. You’ll also shape the customer experience for selecting and executing payment methods, ensuring customers can move money confidently, securely and efficiently through BILL. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role. Your work is foundational to BILL's future, as we need to both build AI capabilities and build them on a modern, consistent platform. You will be the connective tissue between engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams. You will not only build new "zero-to-one" agentic features but also own and maintain these critical workflows for our customers.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or financial services.
  • Proven success delivering zero-to-one products and scaling them, ideally with experience in AI, machine learning, or agentic, customer-facing features.
  • Strong track record of creating and using structured frameworks to prioritize product opportunities and drive alignment with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, spend management, and liquidity workflows, including compliance and audit processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer empathy with business goals.
  • Technical fluency to collaborate with engineering, ML, and data science teams on workflow orchestration and intelligent automation.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with experience partnering across engineering, data science, operations, finance, and go-to-market teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to inform strategy, measure success, and iterate on product design.
  • Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments, with a track record of creating clarity and building durable strategies in new problem spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision Own the end-to-end Approval and Bill Payment Experience, from defining approval policies, approving payments, payment method selection, and money movement.
  • Define and drive the multi-year product vision for AI Agents for the AP Approvals and Payments Experience workflows, aligning with BILL’s big bet on agentic AI.
  • Develop the strategy for modernizing these core product areas, balancing "Reimagination" of entire workflows with “Refresh” in various areas.
  • Establish frameworks to prioritize opportunities, balancing customer experience, technical modernization, and the drive toward automated, agentic workflows.
  • Secure alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Execution & Delivery Partner closely with ML, design, data science and engineering to design and build scalable, "agentic-native" features that automate manual work for our customers.
  • Understand customer pain points deeply and translate them into agentic AI concepts and clear product requirements to drive execution from concept to launch in a highly ambiguous problem space.
  • Deliver zero-to-one agentic AI features that set new industry standards while simultaneously managing the backlog and iterative improvements for your mature, in-market products.
  • Lead the modernization workstream to completely redesign and modernize the AP Approvals and Bill Payment experiences.
  • Partner with finance, billing, marketing, and sales to define maturity thresholds for monetization of agentic AI features.
  • Create communication and change management strategies for new features that resonate with both existing customers and prospects.
  • Leadership & Influence Act as a thought leader for agentic experiences and modernization within the company and across the industry.
  • Mentor other product managers across related areas (Bill Creation, Vendor Management, Fraud Protection), sharing best practices in product frameworks, cross-functional alignment, and customer-centric innovation.
