Senior Lead Java Developer
About The Position
The Senior Lead Java Developer will support the SCOR BAU EI parallel initiative by enhancing and maintaining existing Java-based enterprise applications. The role involves updating business logic, improving the user interface, extending reporting capabilities, and enhancing the system data model. The developer will also work on application maintenance, defect resolution, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting across multiple environments. This position requires strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, REST services, and relational databases, along with experience supporting enterprise-level applications.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using Java
- 10+ years of experience developing applications on the J2EE platform
- 8+ years of experience writing SQL for relational databases
- 8+ years of experience developing RESTful web services using Spring Framework
- 8+ years of experience with Spring AOP (Aspect-Oriented Programming) including transaction management and security
- 8+ years of experience with JUnit and Unit Test development
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years of experience with Angular UI Framework
- 4+ years of experience with Crystal Reports
- 4+ years of experience with Power BI
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and J2EE technologies
- Update business logic, user interface, and system data models for existing applications
- Develop and maintain RESTful web services using Spring framework
- Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases
- Support application enhancements, defect resolution, and maintenance activities
- Perform code reviews, testing, and peer collaboration
- Maintain unit tests using JUnit and ensure code coverage
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues
- Ensure adherence to security, testing, and development standards
- Provide on-call support when required
- Maintain technical documentation and participate in system reviews
