About The Position

You will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of control systems for large industrial facilities. Further, you will develop control narratives, IO Index, cause and effects, control logic, and operator graphics for DCS, PLC, BMS systems. Additionally, you have thorough knowledge of Process Automation including design/implementation of complex control strategies, turbomachinery controls, and model predictive control (MPC). You will also be required to attend and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and participate in commissioning and startup activities. You will configure the 3rd party device endpoints using serial, Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP or Profibus communication protocols. You will participate in HAZOP, LOPA, and other Safety Lifecycle work processes as outlined in IEC 61511, CFSE Certification is a plus. Also, you will manage the interface between vendors and engineering contractors when the work is outsourced to third party integrators and contractors. You will manage technical project deliverables using internal and external resources while encouraging Linde's global workshare partnerships and philosophies. You will assist in preparation of key quantities and estimates of control systems for capital project proposals.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Control Systems, Instrumentation).
  • At least 10 years of experience in process industry (preferably hydrocarbon processing or gas processing industry).
  • Texas PE License is a plus.
  • Expert level experience in software programming and configuration, operator HMI, hardware and software bill of materials, and control network architecture for one of the following platforms: Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Control Studio 5000, Siemens PCS 7 / S7 / TIA Portal, and/or Emerson DeltaV DCS and SIS.
  • Experience in SCADA platforms such as GE Intellution iFIX or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15 to 20% of the time.
