1d$90,000 - $95,000

About The Position

The Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic (LSJLC) is a diverse collective of legal clinics that strives to create more equitable, inclusive, and compassionate legal systems by teaching future attorneys advocacy skills that respect the inherent dignity of each client they serve. Our mission is to train students through live-client advocacy to provide the highest quality, holistic legal services to under-resourced individuals and their communities in a diverse collective of local-to-global practice areas; to turn knowledge and practice into action that advances clients’ access to justice while bearing witness to individual and structural inequality; and to demand accountability leading to the reform of justice systems. The Communications Lead will coordinate, produce, and execute communications efforts and activities for the LSJLC at LMU Loyola Law School. Integrated and supervised within Marketing, Communications, and External Relations (MarComm), this position is responsible for developing and implementing a robust communications plan in close partnership with LSJLC’s executive director. This plan will address both strategic storytelling and operational communications (event promotion, client outreach, and student recruitment). The ideal candidate will craft compelling written and visual content that engages donors, students, alumni, community stakeholders, and the general public. Their work will support enrollment marketing, elevate LSJLC’s visibility, and position the clinics as a thought and action leader in legal advocacy and social justice. The incumbent develops and pursues strategies and tactics that promote a positive institutional image, reinforce brand narratives, and increase engagement with target audiences. All communications will align with the university brand, foster community awareness and transparency, and deepen understanding of LSJLC’s mission and impact.
