About The Position

We’re looking for a product-minded, AI-native Data Scientist who operates like a mini-founder—someone who doesn’t wait for problems to be handed to them, but instead identifies opportunities, builds solutions, and drives measurable business impact end-to-end. You’ll own critical areas like search, recommendations, and personalization, directly influencing core marketplace metrics like Booking Conversion Rate and booking volume. You’ll partner with Product and Engineering, but you won’t depend on them to define your roadmap—you’ll create it, validate it, and ship it. You’ll spend most of your time: Identifying high-impact opportunities, Rapidly prototyping and experimenting (often using AI tools), Deploying ideas into production, Measuring and iterating based on real business outcomes. If you’re someone who thinks like a PM, executes like a Data Scientist, and uses AI to move 10x faster than traditional teams—this role is for you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Applied ML, or related roles in production environments
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, experimentation, and statistical thinking
  • Proven track record of driving business impact, not just building models
  • Highly proficient in SQL and Python
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of Search, Recommendations, and Personalization
  • Improve ranking, relevance, and discovery across the marketplace
  • Drive measurable lift in Booking CVR, rebooking, and engagement
  • Identify opportunities independently (no waiting for PM direction)
  • Prioritize based on business impact, not technical novelty
  • Push ideas into live experimentation quickly
  • Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments
  • Move quickly from idea → prototype → production test → insight
  • Develop and iterate on models (ranking, recommendation, personalization, etc.)
  • Work across the stack—from data exploration to model design to experimentation
  • Leverage LLMs, agents, and AI tooling to dramatically accelerate your workflow
  • Prototype faster, analyze faster, and ship faster than traditional approaches
  • Explore opportunities to apply AI both internally and in user-facing features
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to bring ideas to life
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Act as a thought partner on product strategy—not just execution
