About The Position

The Senior Landscape Architect will play a crucial role in creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces by taking a holistic design approach that considers site context and user experience. This position involves collaboration with a multi-discipline team of design and engineering professionals, focusing on enhancing landscape architecture services, particularly in the local and regional park sector. Responsibilities include developing schematic designs, landscape plans, and construction documentation, as well as conducting site assessments and construction inspections. The role also offers opportunities for project management and proposal development.

Requirements

• Graduate of a LAAB accredited landscape architecture curriculum (BSLA, BLA, MLA).
• Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Minnesota or another jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of progressive landscape design experience, particularly in park and trail projects.
• Prior project management and/or client management experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D for preparing construction documentation.
• High proficiency in rendering graphics with Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical reports and community interactions.
• Ability to travel locally for project meetings and site consultations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with community engagement and development.
• Working knowledge of Revit and/or Lumion rendering software.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic designs and landscape plans.

• Lead or assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring various design aspects of projects.
