About The Position

Performing a wide range of general laboratory support operations in the Biochemistry group; coordinating the receipt and inventory log entry of reagents and supplies; maintaining inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies; performing daily equipment status monitoring; assisting in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reasoning skills, including logical thinking and deductive reasoning
• Good work habits (i.e., cleanliness, efficiency, cautiousness)
• Accuracy in transcribing information
• Personal maturity and sense of responsibility
• Good oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Coordinate the receipt and entry of reagents and supplies into the department inventory log
• Maintain inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies and communicate those logs to the appropriate individuals
• Assist appropriate personnel in the location of and eventual removal of reagents and supplies from the active laboratory population when expired or exhausted
• Assist in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment including biological safety cabinets, incubators, refrigerators, waterbaths, centrifuges, and platewashers
• Assist in the proper disposal of laboratory generated waste
• Ability to access and use computer programming including PC software
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
