About The Position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Technician to support advanced aerosol research in a secure laboratory environment out of Frederick, MD. The Senior Laboratory Technician will be involved in hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems used in aerosol exposure studies. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an ACTIVE Secret Clearance

Requirements

3+ years of experience working in regulated laboratory settings (BSL2, BSL3, and BSL4)
Experience performing molecular and immunology laboratory techniques
Knowledge of GLP, BSL3, BSL4, and IACUC protocols
Strong SOP writing skills
Experience working in aerosol or infectious disease research
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in related field

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain specialized aerosol generation and sampling equipment for biological research
Assist in the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of aerosol systems used in animal studies and environmental testing
Support experimental procedures under the supervision of principal investigators, ensuring compliance with animal care and laboratory quality standards
Work within BSL-2 through BSL-4 labs, conducting aerosol exposure sessions
Assemble and validate aerosol systems outside containment zones, maintaining detailed logs of performance and maintenance
