This role is responsible for performing sample receiving, sample preparation and analytical water testing activities. What You Will Do: Work in a safe manner to complete analytical tests on water samples removed from our customer systems in support of sales or as part of a research project. Perform sample receiving duties. Perform several sample preparation techniques on water samples. Work to become the team expert in a test method, running tests for the team, and as your skills grow, working to improve the precision and accuracy of that method through statistical experiments. Become involved as needed in projects including test method improvements, costs savings, etc. Position Details: Plant Location: Naperville, IL Work Week and Shift: M - F 7:30am - 4:00pm with 30-minute break Compensation Package Offered: $28.00 / hour Minimum Qualifications: 2-year Technical Degree or 2 years of related experience working in a lab environment Experience working in a lab environment Experience using Microsoft Office Suite No immigration sponsorship available for this role Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Associate's Degree or B.S./B.A degree Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology, and the characterization and preparation of materials used in routine and special procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Auto titration and wet chemistry experience A high attention to detail and quality in results Ability to establish and meet deadlines to produce independent results, while building a network of resources in the company Ability to work well with other team members Ability to multi-task and work independently, managing numerous projects simultaneously Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: $28.00 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime.
