Our operations include reagent and active diagnostic ingredient (ADI) production, filling and packaging. Each day we focus on delivering the value of Roche Diagnostics to patients around the world. This is a Day Shift role M-F No Weekends.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in oligonucleotide/protein synthesis and characterization and PCR technology is required.
  • Ability to work under cGMP guidelines is necessary.
  • Wet chemistry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties relating to production and testing operations.
  • Follows departmental work instructions, SOP's, OSHA safety regulations and cGMPs to perform assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and oversee lab supply inventory, generate expense purchase requisitions, if applicable.
  • Input production data and other work-output data into appropriate network (e.g. SAP / LIMS) and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Handle hazardous materials in activities described above.
  • Maintain departmental stock rooms, keep labs stocked, prepare buffers as needed/required.
  • Perform direct production or testing activities.
  • Interface with internal groups to assure laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration and documents conform with established practices.
  • Attend required training classes and participate in on-the-job training.
  • Manage schedules, workload and establish priorities using inputs from business requirements, SAP, and/or internal customer needs.
  • Participate in the design and organization of experiments in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Provide input in writing experimental protocols, investigations and reports.
  • Serve as a resource to operations or scientific staff.
  • Provide input for improving existing laboratory procedures.
  • Assist supervisor in development and implementation of new procedures and evaluating new products and equipment.
  • Assist with generation of written standard operating procedures.
