About The Position
We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Java / Python developer to join our team located Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh. PA As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities. Requirements
- Hands-on experience in software development, with specific experience in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
- Expertise in Java and Python is required.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system fundamentals.
- Proficiency in database management, including Oracle and database querying languages (SQL, PL/SQL).
- In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and testing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected
Responsibilities
- Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
- Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
- Develop applications in languages including Java, and Python
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
