About The Position

Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Engineer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best-practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience in project lifecycles on development & maintenance projects, estimation methodologies, quality processes.
• At least 3 years of experience in development/design projects using Java, J2EE, Oracle, JavaScript, Spring, RESTful web services and microservices.
• At least 3 years of experience in user requirement, develop specifications, design, review code and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements.
• At least 3 years of experience using cloud services to build an integrated application in production (AWS - EC2, ECS, API gateway, Lambda, AWS Glue).
• At least 3 years of experience with designing and tuning relational databases and non-relational databases.
• At least 3 years of experience in microservices architecture and RESTful Services.
• High level knowledge on CI/CD.
• Ability to face client meetings.
