Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Languages: Java, SQL.
• Frameworks: Spring.
• SQL and NoSQL development.
• Architecture: Knowledge of design patterns, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Quality: Proficiency in writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with peer developers on tasks, provide mentorship, and foster collaboration.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage sprints, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Required to be located within Seattle Area. Hybrid work model (visit client in Bothell Office once or twice a week).

Nice To Haves

• Quality: Knowledge of testing technologies Cucumber.
• Cloud: AWS.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and how to use the corresponding services on the major cloud platforms.
• GitFlow/GitLab Flow/DevOps Trunk Approach.

Responsibilities

• Can optimize SQL schemas and understand NoSQL solutions and trade-offs involved.
• Acts as a mentor for other software engineers.
• Advocates for best practices – always.
• Contributes to delivering multiple feature implementations on client projects.
• Writes unit tests for all core functionality implemented.
• Troubleshoots problems with deployed systems.
• Implements and manages performance and integration tests, including managing the related test data sets.
• Diagnoses, fixes, and coordinates deployment of bug fixes.
• Assists in designing and improving project-specific code quality and design guidelines.
• Proactively find ways for improving and measuring the quality of the solutions being developed.
• Identifies performance issues with applications and troubleshoot performance problems in distributed systems.
• Analyzes and understands flows and end-to-end interactions for a distributed system.
