About The Position
Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Java Developer at our client in Minneapolis, MN. Qualifications include: Experienced Java/Spring Boot Developer with strong core Java fundamentals and hands-on expertise in Kafka or webhook-based streaming, MemSQL, and deployment within OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). Ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize high-performance, scalable services and data pipelines while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Experienced Java/Spring Boot Developer with strong core Java fundamentals and hands-on expertise in Kafka or webhook-based streaming, MemSQL, and deployment within OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and optimize streaming integrations using Kafka or webhook-based event flows.
- Work with MemSQL (SingleStore) for high-performance data storage, querying, and processing.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage applications within OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
- Ensure code quality through best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements in performance, resilience, and observability.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and advocate for best-in-class engineering practices.
- Document system designs, APIs, and technical processes for clarity and sustainability.
