This position will be part of a team responsible for supporting Trident's C4I product infrastructure for one or multiple Department of Defense customers. The employee must have a knowledge of both Linux and Windows Operating System (OS) administration with a focus on applying security settings and will work closely with engineering to transition the maintenance, troubleshooting, and patching of the infrastructure supporting one or more of Trident's C4I products. The position requires broad knowledge across systems to support ESXi, virtual machine images, containerized deployment, physical systems (laptops, servers, tablets), and basic networking of those components. The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required.

  • Manage and administer user accounts, perform server subsystem configuration, install software, perform backups, configuration management and general system maintenance.
  • Install, configure, and administer computer equipment, operating systems, and software to provide a robust and secure infrastructure that supports the C4I products.
  • Support the operations and maintenance of Linux systems (Debian-based) and Windows systems to maintain operational availability and a strong security posture through system configuration and patching maintenance.
  • Apply thorough diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions on the operational server infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all troubleshooting procedures.
  • Continuously evaluate, document, and implement all aspects of the supporting infrastructure, including weekly audits, patches and updates, establishing user accounts, updating hardware, software, maintenance logs, etc.
  • Document information regarding proposed changes to the hardware, software, and firmware components of the system operating environment(s).
  • Identify and develop new means and methods to support the deployment and operational use of one or more of Trident's C4I products.
  • Ability to support travel or off-site work, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 6 years of related experience OR graduate degree and 4 years of experience OR 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Security+ Certification.
  • Debian/Ubuntu and Windows Server/Workstation administration experience in a DoD or similarly regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with OS and software configuration and deployment tools (i.e. Git, CI/CD pipeline, etc.).
  • Hands-on VMWare ESXi (or Azure/AWS EC2) provisioning, snapshot, and patching experience.
  • Familiarity with CUI requirements for unclassified IT systems is preferred.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, and NTP troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with CUI data handling and DoD patch-management cycles.
  • Experience with Antivirus and endpoint-protection management.
  • Ability to obtain a US government Secret security clearance which requires US citizenship.
