As a Network Systems Administrator on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoD team, your responsibilities will include designing, planning, and implementing network infrastructure, including hardware and software, to meet the organization's needs. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices, servers, and applications, identifying and resolving network issues, implementing and managing security measures, ensuring data backups, monitoring network performance, providing technical support, documenting network configurations, working with vendors, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in networking, including practical experience with hardware and software.
• Understanding of network protocols and topologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or other operating systems used in the network environment.
• Experience with tools like Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current Secret clearance.
• Experience with network equipment and applications (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc).
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency at identifying and resolving network issues quickly and efficiently.
• Proven aptitude for maintaining accurate and up to date documentation of the network infrastructure.
• Core understanding of advanced routing and switching technologies, protocols, and implementation of complex network infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with DoD documentation (STIG/RMF) and ATO process.
• Certifications to demonstrate specific knowledge and skills.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, and implementing network infrastructure, including hardware and software.

• Providing technical support to users and troubleshooting network-related issues.
• Documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Working with vendors to procure and support network equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
