About The Position

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for planning and executing multiple concurrent projects of medium to large scale, including new hotel builds and transitions. The position is responsible for working with hotel ownership groups, third-party vendors and hotel brands to determine appropriate designs and/or specifications for low-voltage wiring, hotel systems, integration and network design in hotel environments. The Senior IT Project Manager is the primary person responsible for all new hotel builds, renovations and transitions at various hotel locations, and will take a very hands-on role in each project.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of low-voltage systems including copper (Ethernet) and fiber (SM, MM) infrastructure, low-voltage building infrastructure design, and implementation in new and existing hotel build environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel brand standards and requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of property systems, including and not limited to: PMS, POS, FTG, HSIA, Digital Signage, Security Cameras / Systems, Key Systems, Parking Systems and Digital Kiosks.
  • In-depth understanding of hotel brand interfacing with third-party vendors (PBX, HSIA, POS, etc)
  • Basic understanding of AV systems for hotel builds.
  • Networking design and troubleshooting.
  • Switch, router, and firewall configurations and maintenance.
  • Data and voice circuit sizing, ordering and installation.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence a variety of audiences including hotel ownership groups, third-party vendors, partners, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Must have strong cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Ability to observe business situations, recognize roadblocks, and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to influence and indirectly manage team members to meet project deliverables.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and projects while consistently meeting deadlines with accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify areas of improvement and make sound recommendations to solve problems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and proceed on own good judgment.
  • 2+ years of project management experience required.
  • 3+ years working supporting technology in the hospitality environment required.
  • Proven track record in successful project management in the hospitality environment.
  • BA or BS in related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading projects of medium to large scope, size and duration.
  • Project Management certification (PMP) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hotel ownership groups on new and existing hotel projects, covering all hotel technology aspects such as low-voltage design, security cameras, security systems, building management systems, PBX, HSIA, WiFi, TV, front and back-office systems, network architecture and design, etc.
  • Assess the state of current hotel technologies, including but not limited to: GPNS / GRE (Marriott), UnoNet / Connected Room (Hilton); Hyatt, IHG H&R, Wyndham H&R, Choice Hotels and independent technology stacks. Continuously monitor and comply with all brand standards across the hotel portfolio, ensuring that all hotel and respective ownership groups meet the technology requirements.
  • Continuously update Stonebridge IT standards for new hotel builds, renovations, brand changes, and hotel transitions based on existing standards, as well as from each respective hotel brand.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams that include business units, IT teams, vendors, and consultants throughout all phases of the hotel project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for facilitating requirements gathering for technology solutions, and effectively guiding resources to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for adhering to the current project management methodology while influencing best practices, process improvements, and procedures.
  • Oversee team members in the execution of project management activities to ensure quality.
  • Create and manage a realistic, detailed plan to ensure medium to large-scale projects are executed on time, on budget, and in scope.
  • Serve as a primary problem solver for any issues, roadblocks, and risks; maintaining responsibility for their resolution.
  • Effectively create and deliver presentations and reports to management team, communicating project status.
  • Drive the decision-making process amongst stakeholders, ensuring project needs and solution options are presented and understood.
  • Anticipate and communicate horizontal impacts caused by project implementation.
  • Train and mentor others in managing multiple large projects simultaneously.
