About The Position

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and stabilize a portfolio of in-flight technology initiatives following a recent tax accounting system migration at The Franklin County Auditor's Office . This role reports directly to the IT Director and focuses on bringing structure, accountability, and execution discipline to complex projects with minimal ramp-up time. As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership across multiple active IT projects, ensuring predictable delivery, clear communication, and consistent project management practices while coordinating technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

Senior-level experience managing complex, in-flight IT projects with minimal ramp-up time.
Demonstrated ability to stabilize distressed or high-risk projects and drive them to completion.
Proven experience managing application migrations and enterprise technology initiatives.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities effectively.
Experience developing executable project plans, schedules, and delivery frameworks.
Strong risk management, issue tracking, and escalation capabilities.
Experience supporting tax, financial, or government enterprise systems.
Background working in public sector or highly regulated environments.
Experience with data warehouse modernization or reporting remediation initiatives.
Familiarity with audit-driven documentation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational management of multiple active IT projects already in progress.
Lead and stabilize projects related to application migration, data warehouse updates, and reporting remediation.
Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
Break existing workstreams into clear, measurable milestones and outcomes.
Identify risks, dependencies, and decision points early and proactively manage mitigation strategies.
Drive timely issue resolution and escalate blockers appropriately to ensure delivery commitments are met.
Provide concise, accurate, and actionable status reporting to executive leadership.
Align project execution with IT Director priorities and organizational objectives.
Coordinate work across business analysts, developers, subject matter experts, and consultants.
Reinforce consistent project management standards and delivery discipline across the project portfolio.
Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and suitable for audit review.
Mentor business analysts on documentation standards and project management best practices.
Facilitate project meetings using Microsoft Teams.
Schedule and manage meetings, calendars, and communications using Microsoft Outlook.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
