Through the DoD SkillBridge Program, GDIT offers transitioning service members the opportunity to gain hands-on training and experience as a Senior IT Project Manager Fellow, supporting U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and enterprise IT operations across the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN). In this Fellowship, you’ll observe and participate in real-world project management, systems integration, and enterprise architecture activities while learning how large-scale Army networks are engineered, governed, and sustained. You will work alongside experienced GDIT project managers, engineers, and NETCOM leadership while preparing for a successful transition into civilian IT project management, systems engineering coordination, or enterprise architecture support roles. As a Senior IT Project Manager Fellow, you will train under the guidance of senior program and technical leads to learn how NETCOM missions plan, coordinate, and execute lifecycle activities for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) environments. Throughout the Fellowship, you will support task coordination, customer engagement, documentation development, quality assurance, logistics tracking, and project planning—gaining firsthand experience in managing complex DoD IT programs. You will learn the organizational processes, stakeholder communication practices, and enterprise management techniques that form the foundation of an advanced-level IT project management career.
