Senior IT Engineer

InternetworksPortland, OR
23h$110,000 - $130,000

About The Position

We’re looking for a new team member: Senior IT Engineer! Are you the person others call when things break in weird, complex ways? Do you enjoy figuring out not just how to fix something, but why it broke in the first place? At Internetworks, we support and improve the systems our clients rely on every day. We’re looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our team and take on high-impact technical work across service and infrastructure. What is a Senior IT Engineer? Think of this role as the highest level of technical support and escalation within the service team. You’ll handle complex issues that impact entire environments, guide technical decisions, and help ensure the systems we support are stable, secure, and well-designed. You won’t just resolve issues. You’ll identify root causes, recommend better approaches, and help prevent problems from happening again. In short: when it’s complex, high-impact, or unclear, it comes to you. A Day in the Life at Internetworks: You might start your day reviewing escalations that require deeper investigation. From there, you could be troubleshooting a complex network issue, resolving a Microsoft 365 or Azure problem, or helping a teammate work through a challenging situation. You’ll also spend time mentoring others, documenting solutions, and improving how we approach technical work across the team. Some days are reactive. The best days are when you’re making things more stable and predictable. Why You’ll Love Working Here: At Internetworks, we care about doing great work and building a team that enjoys working together. From company camping trips and kombucha on tap to ongoing learning opportunities, we invest in both the work and the people doing it.
