About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will lead the management and optimization of our Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, enhance automation through Intune and scripting, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards. This is a hands-on, impactful position where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure, scalable, and efficient IT infrastructure.

Requirements

Experienced in managing and optimizing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Skilled in identity and access management, including Azure AD, conditional access, MFA, and SSO.
Proficient with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Intune, Graph API).
Experienced in endpoint management, patching, and security hardening.
Knowledgeable of IT security and governance frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
Strong organizational, documentation, and troubleshooting abilities.
Collaborative, proactive, and able to effectively support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experienced mentoring or supporting junior engineers (preferred).

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Oversee identity and access management (Azure AD, conditional access, MFA, SSO).
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, ensuring uptime and availability.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Design and deploy automation scripts (PowerShell, Intune, Graph API, etc.) for routine IT tasks and system configurations.
Manage Microsoft Intune for device compliance, application deployment, and policy enforcement.
Streamline patch management, software updates, and endpoint security.
Develop processes for zero-touch provisioning and self-service IT.
Implement and maintain IT security and compliance requirements (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc. as applicable).
Perform regular audits of configurations, permissions, and logs to ensure adherence to policies.
Collaborate with the Security team to deploy monitoring, DLP, and incident response measures.
Ensure best practices in data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues in the Azure/M365 environment.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on IT projects, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Document processes, policies, and technical configurations.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
