Denver International Airport is looking for an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer to join our Business Technologies Applications team. The Power Platform Developer designs, builds, and maintains custom business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse. They focus on automating workflows, creating low-code/no-code applications, and integrating with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Fabric.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional level experience developing, modifying, and implementing operating systems, business applications, enterprise architecture design, and maintaining databases and servers.
  • FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN).
  • Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment.
  • By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.

  • Skilled in Power Platform administration, governance, and modern cloud delivery models (SaaS/PaaS).
  • Proficient in extending low‑code platforms using Power Fx, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, C#, JSON, PowerShell, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power BI, and integration across Power Platform, Azure, and Fabric.
  • Familiar with AI‑assisted development tools (Plan Designer, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio) for code generation, testing, documentation, and IDE enhancements.
  • Effective in systems analysis, requirement gathering, writing user stories, and producing technical documentation.
  • Experienced in mapping business processes and translating them into automated workflows and applications.
  • Adept at engaging stakeholders, understanding complex organizational needs, and communicating technical concepts clearly to non‑technical users.
  • Background in Agile and ALM environments with strong knowledge of modern software architecture and design patterns.
  • Holds ITIL Foundations (or higher) and Power Platform Developer Associate (PL‑400) certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements, analyze processes, and design functional solutions.
  • Create Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, and Power Automate flows, to enhance business processes.
  • Integrate Power Platform with Dataverse, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Mentor and coach other development staff.
  • Perform Unit and functional testing for processes developed in Power Platform which will include writing and initiating test cases.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Utilize Power Fx, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C# to extend functionality beyond standard low-code limitations.
  • Adhere to security best practices and data governance policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
