About The Position

Job Details: DUTIES: Define, design, implement, and manage cloud ETL data pipelines. Build integrated solutions with automation, monitoring, and analytics solutions on a cloud platform. Translate tactical/strategic requirements to ensure effective solutions that meet business needs. Keep up with the latest cloud technologies, as well as the pros and cons of these technologies. Participate and provide consultation on complex initiatives. Develop work breakdown structures. Estimate effort and duration of work. Review specifications to ensure consistency in approach and use. Research improvements in coding standards and participate in code review. Re-factor code to improve testability and maintainability when needed. Perform detailed technical design, development, and unit testing of custom applications and data flow in the context of projects, releases, and production support. Deliver high-quality code for features and bug fixes. Apply knowledge of API/containers/micro services development - both building and consuming. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in Data Engineering, Full Stack Development, or Data Analysis. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in Data Engineering, Full Stack Development, or Data Analysis. Must have: 1 year experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL) in a Data Engineering capacity in either Commodities, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Innovation, R&D, Automotive, Supply Chain, or Environmental Health and Safety; 1 year experience using Python for complex data analysis; 1 year experience performing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes in a Data Engineering capacity in either Commodities, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Innovation, R&D, Automotive, Supply Chain, or Environmental, Health, and Safety; Data Modelling in a big data capacity using hyper-scale databases such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Vertica, or Clickhouse; Traditional Data Warehousing utilizing relational databases NoSQL or Object-Oriented Databases; and Data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Qlik, or Superset. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in Data Engineering, Full Stack Development, or Data Analysis. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in Data Engineering, Full Stack Development, or Data Analysis.

  • 1 year experience using Python for complex data analysis
