About The Position

The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive a team player who can multi-task and has excellent analytic skills. Our work is highly collaborative and involves close coordination and excellent communication with our clients, market data vendors and key business and technology partners across Fidelity. This position emphasizes Operations; it is not a Technology role. The Senior Investment Data Analyst will perform critical functions to support daily operations, with an emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). This includes onboarding new datasets relating to client requests, perform detailed data analysis, identify data issues and work with the appropriate teams towards a resolution. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness are critical to the success of this function. The Team The Global Data Services (GDS) team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is a global, investment data management organization that specializes in the sourcing, analysis, integration, management and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data. GDS provides these data services for reference, evaluative, performance and analytical data in support of global investment decision making organizations. Data Management Operations (DMO), a division of GDS, specializes in managing, integrating, and validating vendor and Fidelity-defined data associated with investment entities (securities, issues, brokers, funds, portfolios, and index data).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Data Analytics or related field
  • 2-4 years’ experience working in an Operations, Business Analysis, Data Analysis or Systems analysis role
  • Financial Services Industry experience working with reference data preferred
  • Experience working with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, IDC, and industry ratings vendors preferred
  • Experience working with analysis/reporting tools such as SQL, R, and OBIEE preferred
  • Familiarity with ESG Principles
  • Able to interact with vendors, clients, and end users of the data
  • Exhibited skills in problem identification and resolution
  • Strong analysis skills resulting in the ability to accurately respond to customer inquiries accurately
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Solid oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and project management skills to navigate through high volume setting with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff, management, and other business partners
  • Data analytics, data mining, reporting, operations research, and data manipulation experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Financial Services Industry experience working with reference data preferred
