About The Position

The Senior Investment Advisor provides exemplary client service as the client-facing investment expert for Private Bank clients. The role is primarily focused on growing Assets Under Management (AUM) through business development activities in partnership with the Private Bank team. The advisor represents Fifth Third's investment management philosophy and platform, delivering insights on the economy and markets to clients, prospects, and business partners. They work closely with the Wealth Management Advisor (WMA) to retain and attract new investment assets, ensuring a positive customer experience while managing risks effectively.

Requirements

  • BS/BA is required; Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred.
  • 8+ years of clearly defined investment management experience.
  • Excellent investment acumen, including sophisticated investment knowledge.
  • Significant sales and client retention experience.
  • Experience in an environment that stresses individual accountability and team-based performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering branded presentations and solutions.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Successful independent decision-making abilities.
  • Advanced relationship management skills.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency and a continual drive to achieve results.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with WMAs to acquire new investment-related business opportunities.
  • Serve and expand investment relationships with existing clients by meeting with prospects and engaging in client-acquisition activities.
  • Set client goals and develop an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) for each client portfolio.
  • Ensure that the construction and ongoing management of investment portfolios reflect the established IPS.
  • Achieve annual sales goals by supporting the acquisition of new households and retaining existing assets under management.
  • Network internally and externally to support business growth.
  • Leverage internal investment support teams for portfolio construction.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, prospects, and team members.
  • Stay informed of market trends and analyze their effects on client portfolios.
  • Ensure adherence to Fifth Third's investment policies and procedures.
