About The Position

The Senior Inventory Specialist maintains inventory spares for the repair and maintenance of processing and utility equipment used at the facility. This role maintains inventory stocking levels to support plant changeover processes, documents issuance and receipt of materials within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support client charges and remains up to date on industry practices for inventory control. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years of warehouse, inventory management, supply chain, or related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or other computer software
  • Experience utilizing CMMS
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a teamwork environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to new processes, technologies, inventory changes, and demands

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field or technical certification

Responsibilities

  • Issues and receives inventory items from CMMS and documents any changes
  • Sets up new inventory items within CMMS
  • Analyzes inventory levels and makes recommendations to ensure adequate availability of parts to meet manufacturing demands
  • Submits parts orders to replenish inventory
  • Assists Finance by conducting audits and inspections of inventory and invoice resolution
  • Generates reports from CMMS to support inventory management
  • Performs receipt inspection and verification, part number resolution, and stocking of maintenance parts
  • Supports implementation of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness to support cost saving initiatives for spare parts management
  • Supports facility coordination with planning of maintenance activities and changeovers
  • Maintains accurate records of inventory levels, total inventory counts, transactions, and costs using an inventory management software while supporting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), as required
  • Supports maintenance activities for equipment troubleshooting and repair and the failure mode analysis (FEMA) process
  • Creates, receives, and closes blanket purchase orders, per facility department requirements
  • Supports site operations during off hours, as needed
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
