About The Position

The Senior Inventory Planner is responsible for building and maintaining bottoms-up SKU level forecasts and establishing unit buy recommendations to support tops-down sales plan targets while minimizing inventory overstocks and stockouts. This role will manage inventory at the SKU level, optimizing supply across multiple channels (retail and eComm), and support vendor management for in-season and pre-season buying. This role will be highly cross-functional, partnering with Merchandising, and Sourcing by bringing strategic and analytical insights to influence the brand’s SKU-level sales and inventory strategies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Supply Planning, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, or Merchandising Analytics experience with deep analytical and financial analysis.
• Proven experience with demand forecasting, supply planning, and forecast ownership at the SKU level.
• Strong understanding of retail supply chain dynamics, including both eCommerce and physical retail channels.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data; Able to use rigor and logic to solve problems with effective solutions.
• Proficient in inventory management systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain tools (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
• An entrepreneurial attitude with a strong desire to be a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain monthly program/color level demand forecasts that ladder down into SKU-level inventory plans that incorporate size scale considerations.
• Build SKU-Level inventory supply plan that balances omni-channel demand across retail and eCommerce.
• Continuously monitor and adjust inventory levels by SKU to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and ensure high availability across all channels.
• Build bi-annual SKU-level newness forecasts that roll up to tops-down Department and Program targets to dictate sales plan and inventory investment for future seasons.
• Partner closely with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that POs are placed accurately and on time.
• Optimize PO consolidation for cost-saving opportunities, while ensuring that inventory targets are met within lead time targets.
• Proactively manage inventory levels across all channels, balancing in-stock rates to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory turns.
• Continuously evaluate stock levels to meet retail and eCommerce needs, responding quickly to demand fluctuations and seasonality.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory reports and metrics, providing visibility into inventory levels, stock to sales metrics, as well as risks and opportunities to topline forecasts based on inventory ownership.
• Comfortable building ad hoc reports utilizing data from Looker and Netsuite to help solve weekly business questions and influence monthly Open to Buy discussions.
• Actively seek opportunities to enhance inventory planning processes, utilizing both data and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiencies and reduce costs.
