As our new Senior Inventory Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring products are readily available to Johnstone stores while balancing capacity and financial objectives by performing inventory purchasing and management functions. A day in the life: Collaborating with a great team of Planners to create inventory plans that drive accurate ordering and in-stock position Meeting with engaged suppliers to understand issues in the supply chain and adjust accordingly Collaborating with all departments to resolve problems, improve processes, enhance accuracy and efficiencies Reviewing & executing purchasing activities to align with strategic, opportunity, or other operations plans Learning and feeding your curiosity about inventory management methods Diving in for deeper analysis with our planning system or with Power BI when you are curious about a trend you’ve seen Coaching, team meetings, or 1:1 development time to grow and develop your career at Johnstone Supply

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) (required), with preference given to a specialized degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics; and at least 5 years within the supply chain field in a distribution or manufacturing field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to accomplish work
  • Knowledge of supply chain inventory management principles and techniques, including key performance indicators
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level of use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of full cycle purchase order management principles and methodologies
  • Ability to provide guidance and instruction to peers and coworkers

Nice To Haves

  • Additional consideration for candidates with formal project management skills and Supply chain certification from organizations such as APICS (CSCP, CPIM), or ISM (CPSM, CPSD)
