The Senior Inventory Manager will oversee the accurate forecasting of inventory in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational structure. You will evaluate and assess current inventory practices and lead continuous improvement changes across the organization. The position oversees the inventory management team and serves as the main liaison between the various departments involved in the company's internal supply chain to ensure alignment and achievement of business goals. In this position you will work on reviewing supply chain planning, standard operating procedures and system optimizations and stabilization. This position will also be responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating current inventory operations. They will be responsible for the accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing products and supplies by working closely with Fulfillment and Warehouse. This position will help with plan purchasing and procurement to maximize efficiencies and incorporate best supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss. Additionally, you will be involved with hiring, training, and mentoring inventory staff to ensure they follow safety protocols and use technology systems appropriately. Development and implement strategies, policies, and initiatives to improve inventory management to ensure that the company has the right product in the right locations and to improve service levels while reducing inventory investments and operational costs. Identify the root cause of inventory discrepancies and creates and implements corrective action plans that may include systems, people and/or processes. Define, set, and execute financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as it relates to revenue, profitability, and inventory turnover. Identify and build key dashboards and metrics to monitor the various aspects of inventory for both quantity and quality. Responsible for annual physical inventory and regular inventory cycle counts. Collaborate with cross-functional partners on inventory management strategies to maximize sales, ensure in-stocks and reduce excess inventory in all channels. Oversee the demand planning and inventory optimization functions for the business. Drives and oversee the design and continuous improvement of inventory control systems. Coordinates and assists in ensuring that excess/obsolete inventory and shrink are properly managed. Drive the development and culture of the Inventory Management team including hiring, training, leadership development (coaching and mentoring), and fostering an inclusive and open culture. Analyze data to anticipate future inventory needs. Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships. Prepare written analyses, documentation, reports, or other data as it relates to inventory to ensure future direction of inventory is aligned with business goals and strategies. Implements quality audits that uncover root cause issues that are not being addressed by the team. Lead the team in continuously refining and improving processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Perform other duties and projects as needed or assigned.
