As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a distribution environment.
  • 5+ years in an inventory role.
  • 3+ years in a leadership position.
  • 3+ years of WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
  • Experience handling FILL IN TYPE goods in a 3PL environment is strongly preferred.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the physical cycle counts are performed and accurate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Account for all defective or damaged products and provide corrective action.
  • Lead an inventory team, train and motivate staff, evaluate and guide their performance, and nurture their professional development.
  • Support leadership and Human Resources to ensure DEI programs are embraced and valued.
  • Identify new techniques and analytics to improve the overall planning process.
  • Lead the annual cost planning process ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Oversee and monitor discrepancies via cycle counts and adjustments.
  • Implement loss prevention programs to reduce shrinkage and minimize risk.
  • Build a recovery program to ensure all defective product is accounted for and handled properly.
  • Promote accountability and process improvement based on goals; create action plans and issue resolution tracking.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all inventory roles.
  • Create all necessary reports and documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Drive accountability and process improvement based on KPIs and targets, including creating action plans and issue resolution tracking.
