About The Position

The Senior Inventory Coordinator at Rocket Lab plays a crucial role in managing inventory processes, ensuring the accurate flow of materials and components essential for the production of rockets and satellites. This position involves overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving and storing goods to kitting and fulfilling inventory requests, thereby directly impacting the success of the company's supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 5+ years of experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling inventory pick requests and compiling full car part kits for production
  • Receiving inventory into MRP and conducting paper and visual inspections
  • Managing inventory levels within MRP and transactions for inventory moves
  • Managing advanced kitting systems (Kanban, line-side replenishment, etc.)
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts and storage locations within ERP/MRP
  • Proactively reporting minimum stock levels
  • Performing daily cycle count processing
  • Reviewing, picking, organizing, and putting away standard hardware, purchased materials, parts, and assemblies
  • Kitting work orders safely and timely in accordance with company standards
  • Maintaining the inventory of kitting supplies and materials
  • Liaising with the material planner department to ensure production components are pulled and issued on time
  • Maintaining strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice/procedures
  • Ensuring that the database correctly captures movements of all components, including inwards goods and storeroom functions
  • Ensuring all parts are receipted into and issued out of the MRP system in a timely manner
  • Unboxing and processing incoming goods and distributing across the organization
  • Ensuring serial and lot numbers are recorded in the system if required
  • Passing goods on to quality control if required
  • Setting up the store to meet the needs of the business and recording parts movements accurately
  • Adhering to standard Warehouse Management principles and ensuring inventory levels are accurate
  • Completing cycle counts in line with company requirements
  • Keeping the work area clean and tidy while maintaining tool accountability
  • Abiding by all applicable health and safety legislation and Rocket Lab policies and procedures
  • Working effectively with all staff towards the goals of the company
  • Performing additional duties as reasonably required.
