About The Position

Own end-to-end inventory accounting activities, including recording and reconciling inventory transactions and maintaining accurate general ledger balances. Analyze and resolve inventory variances by partnering closely with operations, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure accuracy across sites and 3PL locations. Support month-end close by preparing inventory journal entries, validating COGS impacts, and delivering timely, accurate reporting for internal stakeholders and auditors. Maintain and monitor standard costs, bills of materials, and routings in the ERP system while upholding SOX, FDA, and ISO compliance requirements. Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and elevate overall inventory accounting effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with coursework or training in cost accounting preferred.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years focused on inventory or cost accounting, and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, standard costing), and internal control principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, with the ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities in a fast-paced environment.
