Work you will do as an ISOutsource Internal Engineer: Design, implement, and maintain ISOutsource’s internal infrastructure, including servers, networking, virtualization platforms, and endpoint systems. Analyze existing environments and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, scalability, reliability, and security. Perform regular system audits, patching, and vulnerability remediation to maintain compliance and readiness. Conduct security assessments and implement security controls in coordination with company policies and standards. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and documentation. Monitor infrastructure and system health using management tools to proactively identify and resolve performance or reliability issues. Manage system configuration, change management, and documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and technical records. Participate in capacity planning and technology forecasting to support company growth. Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to improve infrastructure and operations. Triage and resolve Tier 1 & Tier 2 support tickets when required to ensure continuity of service and to model best practices for the team. Own the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation across all tiers of Internal IT support, ensuring consistency, effective knowledge transfer, and process clarity. Own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Structured Work documentation, and ensure proper execution by responsible team members. Own the Vulnerability Management program, ensure remediation SLA’s are being met, and ensure proper execution by responsible team members. Collaborate with other technical teams and departments to ensure alignment between infrastructure strategy and business goals. Coordinate and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable hardware, software, and service delivery. Ensure all systems, software, and infrastructure meet compatibility, performance, and security standards. Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Composure and professionalism under pressure, maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and focus in fast-paced or time-sensitive situations
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems, network infrastructure, and virtualization platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, and system performance-monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell and other automation or scripting tools.
  • In-depth understanding of vulnerability management, malware remediation, and secure configuration practices.
  • Ability to plan, design, and implement IT systems that meet operational and security objectives.
  • Experience with system analysis, capacity planning, and documentation best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of professional experience in systems or infrastructure engineering.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to our office, as well as for other local travel as needed.

  • Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent (current or in progress) preferred.
