About The Position
Are you an experienced internal auditor looking to join a team that is recognised for the valuable contribution it makes to the organisation? If so, this is the role for you. Reporting to the Senior Principal Auditor, you will deliver a portfolio of complex and high-profile audits as well as supervising the work of an internal auditor. This is a wide-ranging role that includes working with internal stakeholders across all Council departments, schools, partner organisations and commercial ventures. You have a strong audit background. You enthusiastically promote internal audit practices and the Global Internal Audit Standards. You also have experience of managing a diverse workload and of dealing with conflicting and changing demands. Relationship building with colleagues across the Council, including senior management and external stakeholders, is key and you will have the experience, confidence, and credibility to do this and to deputise for the Senior Principal Auditor when required. Local Authority experience is desirable but is not essential. We are looking for you to demonstrate how your previous experience, skills and knowledge can bring value to Enfield. Also being CMIIA, CIA or Internal Audit Practitioner (or equivalent) qualified or CCAB qualified with significant audit experience would be advantageous.
