We have an opening for a Senior Interior Designer. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Considering this model, this role could be based in the following cities: Chicago. Responsibilities

  • Be a collaborative design team member, leading thought-leadership throughout all phases of the design process.
  • Have strong client and time management skills.
  • Set a vision and direction for design concept presentations.
  • Set a vision and direction for material palettes, reviews, and provides feedback to the team for development.
  • Have strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.
  • Partake in project interviews and support the growth of the Hospitality studio.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience with a significant portion in the Hospitality Market.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or equivalent.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
  • Outstanding communication, great interpersonal skills, and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with SketchUp and some 3D rendering software.
  • Familiarity with FFE specification software and producing custom specifications.
  • The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional NCIDQ Certification.
  • Industry involvement in relevant market sector organizations.
  • An understanding of how to estimate fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts.
  • Has an interest in Healthy Materials and sustainable building design.
