Throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes—you’ll envision how people will experience our products, and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined, and even magical.

Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers: we care deeply about the people who use our products. The UX team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use our products to inspire and inform design. We collaborate closely with each other and with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them, and for Google’s businesses.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.

Help drive the development of Flow, an AI-native creation platform within Google Labs. As a member of our agile team, you will play a key role in evolving the flagship ecosystem for Google’s foundational generative models, including Veo, Imagen, and Nano Banana.

Labs is a group focused on incubating early-stage efforts in support of Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our team exists to help discover and create new ways to advance our core products through exploration and the application of new technologies. We work to build new solutions that have the potential to transform how users interact with Google. Our goal is to drive innovation by developing new Google products and capabilities that deliver significant impact over longer timeframes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
• 2 years of experience leading design projects.
• Experience with AI creative tools, motion graphics, 3D modeling, or interactive design.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to lead high-quality design efforts from initial concept development through to final execution.
• Develop wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, and rapid prototypes to effectively communicate user journeys and key decision points.
• Translate generative model capabilities (such as Veo and Imagen) into intuitive, professional-grade tools that bridge the gap between raw model output and human intent.
• Succeed in an adaptable product development environment by gathering user insights and leveraging UX research to continuously explore, pivot, and iterate on early-stage products.
• Drive work independently toward key milestones while effectively managing time, priorities, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
